Updated September 23, 2021
Ravenshoe United Church’s 148th Anniversary service is September 26th and Rev. Calin will be present at the church, but worship will continue to be the on-line service projected on the screen. No paper bulletins will be handed out at the service.
We are still trying to determine how to present in-person services without causing any concerns to the people walking into the building.
Our next step starting in October will still be a virtual service with Rev. Calin doing the sermon live. Congregational responses are allowed, but music will be recorded and Congregational or choir singing will not be allowed at this stage as it spreads the virus farther than talking.
A greeter will be at the door to sign you in and take your temperature. Masks are mandatory and social distancing in place to respect all in attendance. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the church for you to use. If you are feeling sick, please do not come to church.
Entrance to the church will be by the main door and exit after the service by the ramp door.
A plexiglass partition will be placed at the pulpit, and if a person is speaking at the pulpit, they are allowed to take off their mask while they are speaking, then replace it before returning to their seat. A collection plate will be placed at the back of the sanctuary for you to deposit your offering.
There will not be a social time after the service and recommend appropriate social distancing outside of the building.
We understand that there may be congregants who do not feel comfortable coming back to the church building and we respect that. We will welcome you whenever you feel the time is right for you.
Rev. Calin will make the You-tube service available for viewing before Sunday morning.
We will continue to follow the Provincial COVID-19 guidelines and Public Health measures, advice, and restrictions.
Rev. Calin Lau, John Anderson, Judy Dewar, Marilyn Butcher

The Gathering Place has a small group of volunteers putting meals together, which are provided by take-out. Finding the funds to purchase food for the meals is always a worry for the organizers.
Please help to spread the word about this wonderful tiny crew of people and the importance of the community dinner for the guests in this area.
If you would like to make a donation to The Gathering Place you can drop off or mail a donation to Keswick United Church, noting on your donation that the donation is for The Gathering Place, so a donation receipt can be sent.
